Data We Handle
When you use Ask Alive, the extension may handle conversation content from Claude and ChatGPT pages, comment content generated through Ask Alive, anonymous installation identifiers, usage and diagnostic data, and local preferences.
Ask Alive does not ask you to enter an Ask Alive account password, Claude password, ChatGPT password, API key, payment card, or government ID.
How We Use Data
We use data only to provide the comment feature, display generated comments back on the original page, restore previously generated comments, diagnose errors, improve reliability, and store local preferences such as language.
We do not sell user data.
How Data Is Shared
When you trigger the feature, Ask Alive may send the current conversation context to OpenAI / ChatGPT or Anthropic / Claude pages to generate comments. Comment content and anonymous usage data may also be sent to Ask Alive backend services for comment restoration, diagnostics, and reliability improvements.
Retention and Deletion
Local preferences and anonymous installation identifiers remain in the browser until you clear extension data or uninstall the extension. Backend telemetry, diagnostics, and stored comment data are retained for up to 180 days unless a longer period is required for security, legal, abuse-prevention, or operational reasons.
To request deletion of data associated with your anonymous installation identifier, or to ask privacy questions, contact privacy@ask-agents.live.
Remote Code
Ask Alive does not load or execute remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly. Extension logic is included in the submitted extension package.
